Real state businessmen staged an hour sit-in program in-front of Land Revenue Office, Biratnagar, on Friday. The real state businessmen have also warned that they will close the land revenue office if the land the plotting work does not start from Sunday. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has decided to quash all the government decisions regarding land plotting by taking a decision from the meeting of the Council of Ministers on September 3.
Entrepreneurs have demanded to start the process of allotment of land immediately, objecting to the unwillingness of the Land Revenue Office to implement the decision of the Government of Nepal. Ghanshyam Pokharel, president of the Real Estate Entrepreneurs’ Association, said that the entrepreneurs have been facing a lot of problems due to the ban on land the plotting work from three years.
