Province 1, Sunsari, Koshi
An Indian contractor, Bablu Bhagat, was arrested on September 11 on the charge of death threats given to Ayub Ansari, chairman of Koshi Rural Municipality in Sunsari district.
It is revealed that he was living in Nepal undertaking contracts for a long time. Bhagat’s wife’s maiden home is in Koshi Municipality and he was working on the Koshi project while looking at various other Indian contracts from Nepal. He supposedly called and threatened to shoot the chairperson under the influence of alcohol, blaming him of interfering in his family disputes.
