Hairdressers and operators of hairdressing salons in Kathmandu have staged a demonstrated in the capital on Tuesday morning, demanding the government let them resume their businesses.
While imposing the lockdown in March in its bid to control the coronavirus spread, the government had shut all salons and beauty parlours.
Therefore, a group named Joint Hairdressers Struggle Committee staged a rally from Patan of Lalitpur to Maitighar of Kathmandu this morning, demanding they are allowed to do their businesses across the country.
They also demanded that the government provide them with some relief packages including waivers on bank interests and room rents and life insurance.
