Daulat Karki, ward chairperson of Golanjor Rural Municipality-2 of Sindhuli has been accused of beating a local Dhruva Bahadur Karki. The victim’s family lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Sindhuli, alleging that he was beaten while attending a naming ceremony organized in the village on Saturday, October 10.
The victim says that "he kicked me and attacked me with a stick, saying you were defaming me, I could not protest and was left unconscious after the attack”. The victim is the brother (in relation) to the ward president. The victim is undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Neuro Hospital.
Police said that the locals are yet to be questioned about the beating and only after further investigation of the medical report, it can be said whether he was beaten or not.
