A complaint has been lodged against two youths in Dharan on the charge of raping their 22-year-old sister-in-law for the past one and a half years by threatening and intimidating her. The police arrested one accused on November 2 while the other accused is still absconding.  

The arrested one is the 22-year-old son of the victim's uncle-in-law while the absconding one is her own 23-year-old brother-in-law. After the brother-in-law of the house told his uncle's son that he had sexual intercourse with the sister-in-law, then he also blackmailed and raped her.

In the complaint, it is mentioned that both of them threatened to kill her if she informed the family or the police about the rape. There was an attempt to reconcile the case within the family before making it public. However, the victim’s family immediately fled her and took a stand to lodge a complaint.
