Kalikot/ May 26 Inspector Surya Kanta Pandit of Lekhnath Sub-metropolis-15 and deployed at area police office Kumalgaun has assaulted his wife Sumina Pandit inside the premises of district police office on May 24. The victim was kicked and punched by the accused. She sustained bruises on her body. The victim had lodged a complaint at district police office of Kalikot against her husband on May 25; however, she said that the police denied registering the complaint. Accused Inspector Surya Kanta has denied the charge.
