19-year-old Ravi Ram Chamar of Brindaban Municipality-3 in the northeast of the Rutahat district had stabbed 18-year-old Nanda Kishore Ram Chamar of the same ward on November 30. Nanda Kishor died at Chandrapur Hospital while undergoing treatment. The argument started when Nanda Kishor touched a woman's leg while walking on the road and the accused Ravi Ram suddenly stabbed Nanda Kishore Ram in the abdomen with a knife.

Immediately after the incident, the accused, Ravi Ram Chamar, his father, Laxmi Ram Chamar and Vidhalal Chamar were arrested and the knife used in the incident was also recovered by the police.
