Banke,patnilaai mattitel khanaai aago lagaune prayas. Banke/June 4 Manoj Jamal Balmiki, 26, of Paraspur VDC-7 has tried to set his wife Amrita, 24, on fire on June 4. She is currently undergoing treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital. Working as a peon at APF Industrial Security Force Karkando, Balmiki had poured kerosene and tried to set her on fire in inebriated condition. A mother to two, Armita was rescued by the neighbors and the staffs of nearby office of Nepal Muslim Society. “Amrita was all soaked in kerosene and room had stench but he could set her on fire”, Society’s Rubi Khan said. Amrita’s sister-in-law Basanti said that Manoj was regularly fighting with his wife and thrashing her. Ward Police Office arrested and handed Balmiki over to District Police Office which informed that they were investigating the case. Binod P
