50 people, including doctors and staff working in the emergency department, staged a sit-in on December 31 demanding action against assault on health workers of the hospital administration and police. They warned to continue their sit-in till action is taken against the culprit.
Anurag Rasaili, a relative of the patient, physically assaulted and verbally abused one doctor and three paramedics on the duty of Lumbini Provincial Hospital-Butwal after he was informed that the condition of the patient was critical.
