A man has been murdered in Marchawar of Rupandehi district of southwestern Nepal on Wednesday.
The man appearsed to be in his mid-30s is yet to be identified. DSP Satya Narayan Thapa, the District Police Office spokesperson, says the man was burned alive after pouring kerosene over his body on the bank of local Danav river in Gargatti, Maya Devi rural municipality-7 of the district. Police also found a plastic pipe near the incident site.
Police have not identified the culprit and the motive behind the murder yet. DSP Thapa says further investigation is underway. Sniffer dogs have also been mobilised in the probe.
