Lal Bahadur Khatri, the customs officer of the Sukkha, Bandargaha customs office at Shreesia in Birgunj Metropolitan City of Parsa district was beaten by his own staffs. Bahadur was beaten by the staffs after he mistreated and tried to lock Tarkaraj Joshi, a branch officer of the Dry port branch of the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee, Kishor Kurmi and a quarantine employee in the toilet on January 13.
Bahadur has admitted that he had a dispute with Joshi over the need to make the Intermodel toilet on the first floor of the customs office tidy but has refused all the other allegations.
