46-year-old Nandaram Wali, a temporary resident of the sub-municipality of Tulsipur-6, died in the custody of the Tulsipur Region Police Office on February 21. He was detained by the police on February 20 on the charge of beating her after drinking alcohol on the basis of a complaint filed by 34-year-old Priti Wali (his second wife).
Wali, who was under the influence of alcohol, used abusive language in the custody till 12 o'clock at night and was found in an unconscious state in the morning. The doctor declared him dead immediately after taking him to the Rapti Provincial Hospital. Further investigations in the case will be done after the results of the post-mortem examination.
