District Police Office, Saptari, has registered a complaint of rape, abortion and crime protection against 25-year-old Birendra Prasad, his brother 38-year-old Gajendra prasad Shah and his father-in-law Hem Narayan Shah, on March 1.
The victim’s grandfather had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on February 25, alleging that the accused Birendra had made the 13-year-old child victim pregnant by raping her. The other accused had acted as accomplices in forcing the victim to undergo aboriton.
Health check-up of the victim was conducted at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on February 25. The accused Birendra works as the assistant principal of Baldev Sah Memorial Boarding School of Rupani Rural Municipality-2, and his brother Gajendra works as the principal.
According to the victim, Birendra threatened her to fail the exam and raped her several times in the classroom and she got pregnant on April 9, 2020. She said the accused and his relatives forced her to undergo an abortion when she was 8 months pregnant by taking her to Darbhanga, India. DSP Bhuwaneshworprasad Shah, they are searching for the absconded accused.
