Locals hurdled stones at the vehicle of Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel amid tight security, who was on his way to lay the foundation stone of an industrial area in Motipur of Rupandehi, on March 5th. Finance Minister Poudel laid the foundation stone of the industrial zone amid protests.
Earlier on March 4th, a platform prepared for laying the foundation stone of the industrial area was demolished by local residents who are dissatisfied that an industrial corridor is being built on their land.
