The principal, Nirmal Bahadur Tamang, and hostel in-charge, Sunil Kumar Yonjan, of Buddha Academy Boarding School in Naya Basti of Gokarneshwar Municipality have beaten eight students with rods and pipes, for failing in the examination.
Hira KC, a 17-year-old student of class 9 was also beaten while he requested the principal and hostel in-charge not to beat the students. The beating left KC with bruises on his face, neck and on various parts of his body. Hira's relative has lodged a complaint against the accused demanding compensation and justice for the victim.
