Locals vandalized a police station at Devighat in Nuwakot district injuring two policemen. Police deployed from Devighat Post took a truck (plate number Lu 2 Kha 1923) and its driver Nara Bahadur Thamamagar under control on the charge of hitting two pedestrians on April 13 in the mid-hill road section of Likhu rural municipality-5.
A group of about 25 people from Likhu Village Municipality-5 hurled stones at the post, seriously injuring two policemen and damaging the door, mirror and other items of the post. When locals tried to hit the driver, police obstructed them; instead, they assaulted the officers and vandalized the police station. Police arrested 11 people on April 14 on the charge of being involved in the incident.
