Kirat activists stage demonstration in Maitighar demanding to remove name of Pathivara Temple

Kirat right activists staged a demonstration in Maitighar on April 22 for two hours, demanding to put the name Mukumlung by removing the name of Pathivara Temple. They accused that the state of encroaching the land of the Pathivara area of Taplejung by naming it as Pathivara, as the Kirat community has been calling it Mukkumlung.
They have also demanded to end the deforestation and commercial activities in the region in the name of the cable car project. A Half dozen poets also recited poems in the program in favor of cultural identity.
