The Dudhauli municipality of Sindhuli district announced a week lockdown to reduce coronavirus infection. A meeting of the Municipal Executive Committee held on April 22 announced the lockdown in three wards ( 1, 2, and 4) of the municipality from April 23 to April 30.
A meeting decided to declare a lockdown after a person in Dudhauli Municipality-1 tested positive for corona. Necessary services (ambulance, fire brigade, health service, milk, vegetables, fruits, food shops, educational institutions, government and non-government offices, ward office (except ward no. 4), markets, hotels, transport services, and other businesses will also be closed in the lockdown declared areas. It has also been mentioned that legal action will be taken in case of violation of lockdown.
The district administration office has also requested to hold the program by maintaining social distance without allowing more than 25 people to participate in the programs of district-wide assembly conferences and conferences. The Golanjor village municipality of the district has also decided to close the weekly market saying that the infection of corona may spread. The rural municipality has stated that the weekly bazaars in Khaniyankhark, Khurkaet, Gwaltar, and Chakutar valleys will be closed to prevent the risk of the corona.
Instructions have been given to schools, governmental and non-governmental organizations, employees of the concerned agencies, and others in the area, to deliver the services, keeping in mind the health sensitivities while providing services and social activities.
