Police have arrested 20-year-old Krishna Patel of Fulbariya in Parsagadhi Municipality-7 in Parsa on June 24 night on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. According to police, Krishna and 20-year-old Kamalesh Sahani of Parsagadhi-6 Chainpur had gone to the victim's house on June 10, where Krishna raped the girl by entering her room and threatening her with violence. The girl's family was asleep at the time of the incident.

Police arrested the accused on the basis of a complaint of rape lodged by the victim's father. Police have started a further investigation against the accused youth with an order of the district court to be remanded him into custody for 5 more days, informed DSP Prakash Khanal of DPO Parsa. Police are looking for Kamalesh who remains on the run.
