After the body of Sujita Bhandari, a resident of Rapti Municipality-3, was found in the local community forest, residents in Chitwan blocked the East-West Highway, demanding an investigation into the event. While the body was being taken to the hospital, relatives and residents gathered along the East-West Highway, chanting slogans. They blocked the roadway in protest, claiming that the police had failed to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident for the preceding ten days.
