Hospital staff of Kathmandu Medical Hospital in Sinamangal started agitation five days ago from July 25 in front of the hospital alleging that the new management under the leadership of Sunil Sharma cut the service facilities of the employees. Many of the hospital staff who took part in the agitation on July 30 were seen in hospital uniforms shouting slogans in unison. But the agitating health workers are working according to their own schedule. They have not allowed the patients to suffer due to agitation.
About a year ago, Sunil Sharma, the director of Nobel Medical College, bought the shares of KMC and the old doctors and employees started resigning after dissatisfaction. At the same time, more than 30 employees of the administration resigned after the new management came. About 1300 employees working in KMC a year ago have been reduced to 700.
