Police arrested a 37-year-old father and a 32-year-old uncle of Palungtar Municipality-8 on August 6 on the charge of raping their 11-year-old daughter multiple times.
The victim's aunt lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Gorkha August 6 alleging that the accused father had repeatedly raped the victim for the past two years and that the uncle had raped her last October.
The victim fell ill last April and was treated at a local hospital. However, she was rushed to the Thapathali Maternity Hospital in Kathmandu on July 11. A problem was seen in the girl's uterus during the treatment and when the victim's aunt asked her she finally revealed that she was raped by her father and uncle. The accused were arrested on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim's aunt on August 6.
