50-year-old Nathuni Rai Yadav, his 45-year-old wife Rajkali Yadav, his 26-year-old son Mukesh Yadav, his 22-year-old son Mithlesh Yadav, and daughter Bidiya Yadav are accused of beating 24-year-old Ragani Yadav of Hariwan Municipality-1 on July 24 over a personal dispute related to crops in the field. The victim woman lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office on August 12 alleging that she had a miscarriage due to the assault . She was two months and 20 days pregnant. Anoj Yadav, brother of the victim Ragani, accused the police of protecting the accused due to financial temptation and pressuring the victim for reconciliation.
