Students stage a protest rally against the private engineering college for charging high fees for online classes. They accused the college of taking Rs 1.5 lakh by showing two videos in the name of online classes. The students demanded that the Institute of Engineering Studies (IOE) take action against the private engineering colleges that charge high fees.
The Association of Engineering Colleges Nepal issued a statement on August 18 stating that students cannot be given more than a 10 percent discount on online class fees. The students objected to the statement of the private college operator and said that the Institute of Engineering Studies should speak on the issue.
