Employees of Basbariya rural municipality decided to stop work saying that there was abuse in the office. Speaking at a press conference at the rural municipality office on August 19, the employees alleged that a group of Maoist cadres including Ram Bishwas Ram, Chanu Rai and Uday Rai entered the office on August 18 carrying the CPN-Maoist flag, chanting slogans and misbehaved with them. They concluded that the entire work of the office will be closed until there is a peaceful working environment.
They further said that Pankaj Kumar Jha, focal person of Enterprise Development Branch, Rash Narayan Rai and Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Enterprise Development Facilitators, Sujit Kumar Karna, Information Technology Officer, Rajiv Kumar Yadav, Chief of Registration Branch and Sanjay Kumar Pandit, Field Assistant were mistreated. Pankaj Kumar Jha, the focal person of the Enterprise Development Branch, complained that he was pulled out while he was working in the office. He also complained that his shirt was torn in the process.
