Dhanraj Limbu, a 43-year-old Miklajung Rural Municipality-7 resident, was killed while attempting to mediate a dispute between a husband and wife. Limbu, who was injured in the assault, died on August 21 at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar. Rabin Tamang, 33, of Miklajung-6, and his wife Niruta Tamang got into a domestic dispute on August 19 around 9:45 p.m. Durga Bahadur Karki, 55, and Dhanraj Limbu, got into a fight when they went to settle their dispute. Rabin called his brothers Aitaraj, 30, and Sanjay Tamang, 26, of Miklajung-6 on the same night. Meanwhile, Bhagya Bamjan (Taman), Niruta's 40-year-old brother, took Karki and Limbu to his house.
Rabin, Aitaraj, and Sanjay had beaten Limbu and Karki with firewood at Bamjan's house. Karki sustained minor injuries and Limbu sustained serious injuries in Biratnagar. According to police, they started a new investigation into the incident by arresting those involved in other incidents.
