July 28, Police have arrested Dhan Bahdur Gurung, 23, of Bandipur Tanahun and staying at Manakamana VDC-7 of Gorkha on July 28 on charge of raping a 5-year-old girl. According to the victim, the accused threatened her not to tell the incident to anyone after raping her on July 21. The victim is raised by neighbor as her father has gone abroad for work and her mother had died. The neighbor had reported the incident to police. Inspector Dipak Shrestha of the District Police Office has said that investigation has begun into the incident after extending his remand for 10 days from the court on July 28 under rape charge against him.
