July 29, Ganga Niraula, 30, of Bahuni VDC-9 has filed a complaint against her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law at the District Police Office on July 28 accusing them of inflicting physical and mental pain on her. According to the victim, husband Chakra Niraula, 31, his father Ganga Prasad Niraula, 75, and mother Dhana Maya Niruala, 55, beat her frequently and recently thrashed her on July 16, 2014. She complained that she was compelled to take shelter at her maternal home after being unable to bear the torment. Women and Children Service Centre of the DPO has filed the case under domestic violence. Inspector Jamuna Basnet of the DPO said that the accused were summoned at the DPO by the police post Bahuna and were released on condition to be present on July 31.
