Locals padlocked Kalyanpur Municipality of Siraha for the fourth time demanding accountability. According to the locals, they have repeatedly demanded an account of the work done by the municipality and the expenses incurred.

According to a local, Pradip Sah, the acting mayor, Rohini Kumari Yadav, was hesitant to make the municipality's accounts public despite repeated requests. He stated that, while the majority of the district's local levels have made all municipal council accounts public, Kalyanpur has yet to hold the municipal council and to make the accounts public.
