The murder of 54-year-old Ram Kali Khatri in Bagchaur Municipality-2 in Salyan on October 1 has prompted an investigation. Three people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the incident on October 3. According to police, the nature of the crime scene leads them to believe Khatri was brutally murdered. The victim's right leg, left ear, left arm, and neck had all been severely injured. A bruise was also seen on the deceased's back.

Her corpse was found at a distance from where it had been covered in her own Shawl. Police said they arrested a dozer driver and two other people after they were discovered crossing the same road where the corpse was discovered. More information on the event is expected, according to the police.
