Police arrested Hima Lama-22, Ganesh Magar-24, and Bibek Magar-22 of Kamalamai municipality-5, Bojhe on October 17, who are three among the nine accused of raping 14,16, and 17-year-old children on October 16. The diagnosis of the victims was done in Sindhuli Hospital and the report is yet to come. Police stated they are searching for other perpetrators who have absconded.

Sindhuli police, on October 24, arrested six more people on the charge of the rape case. The arrested are Deepak Magar, 20, Arjun Magar, 23, Dhan Bahadur Bamjan, 23, Milan Lama, 21, and Akash Magar of Kamalamai-5.According to Sindhuli SP Govinda Thapaliya, they were arrested from Bardibas in Mahottari. The other accused Hem Lama, Shiva Magar and Bibek Magar had already been arrested. Bishwa Rai is absconding.

According to the complaint lodged by the girl's relatives with the police, the girls were raped under the Labdahkhola Bridge at Kamalamai-5 on the night of Dashain while returning to their relatives. Police say a teenager has been raped by up to five people in a row.

According to police, Sanjeev Magar, Prem Shrestha, Shiva Devkota, Suman Thapa, Megh Bahadur Shrestha and Ishwar Ale of Kamalamai-5 were also arrested for helping the accused to flee. Police have also seized a Scorpio vehicle and two motorcycles used to flee them.
