While the law entrepreneurs from Nepal Bar Association are demanding Cholendra Shamsher Jabara to step down from the position of Chief Justice, a demonstration was organized on November 8, at Maitighar in his favour. The rally supporting the chief justice carried a banner that read "Unified Nepal Hindu Kingdom Restoration rally and protests assembly."
Speaking in the protest, the advocate Balkrishna Neupane mentioned that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should resign first if the chief justice had to step down. He also questioned the protesting advocates for not demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, who supposedly gave the space in government to the Chief Justice. He further claimed that the movement started against the chief justice as he stopped citizenship bills that had the potential to provide citizenship to Indians and people from European Union.
