Law practitioners of the Sudurpashchim province staged demonstrations demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice. The District Court Bar Association of nine districts in the Sudurpaschim province and two High Court Bar Associations staged a protest demanding the resignation.

Law practitioners have also staged a one-hour sit-in at Kailali District Court led by Kailali District Court Bar Association.Chairman of the District Bar Association Siddharaj Ojha demanded the resignation of the Chief Justice for strengthening the judiciary and expressed solidarity with the protest program being organized by the Central Committee of the Nepal Bar Association. Ojha also said that a one-hour sit-in will be held daily for 30 days.
