The teachers and staff of the Grade Teaching program at Nalgad municipality of Jajarkot padlocked the municipality office on December 9, with a demand to provide the increased salary by the Nepal government which amounts to fifteen thousand rupees. The budget presented by the last KP Oli government had increased the minimum salary of the teachers and staff of the Grade Teaching program to 15000 rupees. As per that provision, 7000 had to be added by the local government with additional 2000 rupees from the federal government to make the amount 15000.
