Police arrested Shuvalal Thing, a 55-year-old man, on December 27, on the charge of physically assaulting his 50-year-old wife Sanumaya Tamang of Kamalamai municipality-7. The victim was charged with the bamboo stick and shovel by the accused on December 26, the victim was severely injured and she was rescued by her neighbor on December 27. According to the neighbour, the victim got 8 stitches on her head.  According to SI Sapna Tamang of the District Police Office, Women and Children's Cell, the necessary investigation is underway against the accused.
