Kathmandu, Kathmandu ma Yuwati ko hatya. HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE, KATHMANDU: A woman, who appeared to be in her mid-20s, was hacked to death at Dallu in the capital city this morning. According to DSP Padam Bahadur Bista, in-charge of Metropolitan Police Circle, Swoyambhu, a police team sent to the incident site as per the information had found a woman with her throat slit near Dallu residential area at around 5:30am. Police rushed the woman to Bir Hospital where she wad declared dead at around 7am. “It seems a small sharp weapon — knife or something like that — could have been used to cut the throat,” he said. “We are trying to figure out what could have led to the incident based on the footage of a CCTV camera that is installed in the area,” he added. Police suspect that the man who was with the victim could have killed her. “In the CCTV footage, at 5:07am, the woman is seen walking with a man who appears to be in his 30s at Oralo Galli. They seem to be hugging each other in the footage,” DSP Bista informed. “Immediately after that, the woman and man disappear from the frame; and after a while the same man is again in the frame returning the same way — alone,” he added. Identities of the slain woman and man are yet to be ascertained, DSP Bista said. “We showed the pictures of the man and woman to locals, but nobody could identify them. It seems they are not locals of that area,” he added. Metropolitan Police Crime Division in coordination with Swoyambhu police is investigating into the case. काठमाडौं (कास)- डल्लु आव
