One Bishal Katwal, 19, of Dandagaon VDC-3 has been arrested by the police on August 23 at his home on charge of holding a 14-year-old girl hostage. It was learnt that the girl was abducted by a group of 10 including Katwal as she was returning home from school on June 13. The girl managed to flee from the place on July 21 and came into contact with Women and Children Service Centre in Gaighat. She filed the complaint against the accused on August 21 after arriving in Khotang with the help of police. DSP Govinda Kumar Shah of District Police Office, Diktel said that legal action would be initiated depending on the FIR filed by her.
