Students studying at Hendra Campus, Public Secondary School, Dharan City College, Dharan Megha College, Dharan Model College, Sharda Balika Secondary School, Dharan Higher Secondary School staged a demonstration in Dharan on May 27 against violence against women. The demonstrators displayed placards and chanted slogans against the violence against women. Students of Public higher secondary school accused the role of women's rights activists of not being active even when schoolgirls and women across the country are being raped.
