Nepali Congress leaders and cadres from Kathmandu Election Constituency area 4 picketed the Kathmandu District Election Office citing that thousands of people from all across the country were registering as voters in Budhanilkantha Municipality by forging migration document.

According to Shyam Sangat, Kathmandu Constituency Area 4 president of Nepali Congress, they had already come across 13 such documents of fake voters and suspected that there were thousands of such cases. Nepali Congress has demanded the local police, election commission, and Kathmandu district administration to investigate the matter seriously.
