Sunil Kumar Gupta, Ward Chairperson of ward no. 7 in Jeeetpur Smara Sub-metropolitan city, padlocked Municipal office of Jeetpur Simara at 10:00 a.m. on 3 Aug with employees inside office. Mayor Rajan Poudel along with other employees requested the District Administration Office Bara to take action against him according to the law. Poudel accused Gupta of presenting himself in bullying and intimidating manner right from the start. Employees at the ward and municipal office have complained of inconvenient working environment because of Gupta's attitude. Gupta claimed that the locals had padlocked the municipality office due to poor service delivery by the mayor, deputy-mayor and employees of the sub-metropolis.
