Demonstration staged in Kathmandu demanding "Justice for democracy"

A political activist Nandaraj Upadhyay of Jumla has gone on a fast at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu demanding justice for democracy.

He has been on hunger strike since February 24, demanding that Nepali citizens living abroad should get the right to vote. His hunger strike has been fully supported by Jai Mahankal Youth Group.

Upadhyay stated that in the modern democracy of the fourth generation, elections are not held according to the democratic system. He said that the leaders of the political parties maintained the constitutional supremacy in the fourth generation democracy, but while implementing it, they adopted the policy of the Rana regime.
