Police arrested 35-year-old Chitra Prakash Sunar of Kavre Panchkhaal Municipality-5 and 40-year-old Ravin Kumar Gahatraj,  a gold trader from Pokhara metropolis-4 of Kaski  on the charge of murdering Shanti Shrestha a 44-year-old woman of Ganga Jamuna rural municipality-4 of Dhading currently residing in  Pokhara metropolis-12. Police alleged that after not receiving  Rs. 10,000 from the victim which the accused gave her as a loan, the accused strangled the victim to death. Police add that the accused and the victim had been communicating back and forth for a while before the issue of money escalated and when the accused confronted the victim, the victim also charged the accused with a brick. 

According to the police,  the dead body of the victim was found in a drinking water tank at Manhari, Myagde Rural Municipality-4, Tanahun on March 26 morning the Manhari Pipaltar drinking water tank near Manhari on the Prithvi Highway.
