Siraha, Balika balatkar prayash ka aropit giraftar. Area Police Office Lahan has arrested Sanjeev Sah, 25, of Pipra VDC-7 on December 26 on charge of trying to rape a 17-year-old girl. According to the victim, Mamata Sah, 22, wife of the accused called her over to her house and left her inside by locking the house on December 25 after which her husband tried to rape her. The victim said that locals rescued her after she shouted for help. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at the Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Hospital in Lahan on December 26. DSP Gyanendra Phuyal of the APO Lahan said that the accused and his wife were arrested on December 26.
