Police, 50-year-old Ram Chandra Yadav, a resident of Krishnapur-6, was found murdered at a paddy field in Hakpada-6. The victim used to trade in potatoes in the area. Police suspected that the assailants beat him and strangled. There were bruises around the body. “It seemed that the assailants dragged the victim to the field and murdered,” said an officer after inspecting the incident site. The miscreants intercepted Yadav while he was returning home on a bicycle. The victim’s son Laxmi Narayan said his father had gone to Sanhaitha Mahuliya on Saturday but did not return home. Superintendent of Police Ram Kripal Yadav said the motive behind the murder is not immediately known. An investigation into the matter is under way, he said. सि
