Two held as police intervene a peaceful sit-in

Police intervened in a peaceful sit-in staged by the kin of disappeared, conflict victims, and martyrs, leading to the arrest of two demonstrators on Thursday. The peaceful sit-in staged by the family members and relatives of conflict victims in front of Bhadrakali has been foiled by the security personnel today. Police took hold of J B Dhaulakati and Yam Bahadur Tamata while they were staging a sit-in to pile pressure on the government to get their concerns heard on the occasion of Democracy Day today. Meanwhile, the demonstrators have denounced the government for intervening in the rightful demonstration and the arrest of their cadres. The group has strongly demanded that the government should immediately release their arrested cadres and address their demands outright.
