30-year-old Samar Bahadur Shrestha of Bhalaydanda VDC-2 has been remanded in custody by district court order on March 5 on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl. A single bench of District Judge Prakash Chandra Adhikari issued the order to remand Shrestha in custody for investigation. The victim's side had registered an FIR against the accused at the District Police Office Bokse on February 11, 2015. According to the FIR, the accused raped the girl while she was sleeping at her relative's home on February 7. Inspector Dilli Bahadur Chauhan said that the accused was arrested four days later after the incident. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at the district hospital in Bokse on February 11.
