Villagers and Police have reportedly piled pressure on a rape victim to solve the case outside court. A girl(name not published) had been raped by her own villager Satar Miya while she had gone to bring water from the tube well near her house. The victim said that Miya forcefully took her to the nearby pond by shutting her mouth and raped her by brandishing a knife, threatening to kill her if she made any noise. After the incident, the victim's father immediately took the girl to Dharan for treatment.
After returning from Dharan the victim's family lodged an FIR writ against the accused at Mahali police station. Sub-inspector of Mahali police sent them to Area Police Office, Kanchanpur. He said 'I will talk immediately to Kanchanpur police office for further information about the case and will leave no stones unturned to provide justice to the victim.
