Man accused of shooting one dead arrested after 8 years

 29-year-old Denish Shrestha of Gairidhara in Kathmandu Municipality-2 who had been fleeing after shooting dead Prem Kumar Gurung of Dhumpus, Kaski, has been arrested by the police. He was arrested by a team of police deployed by CIB. On February 16, 2008, at around 4:00 am in the morning Shrestha had shot dead Prem Kumar Gurung, who was residing at Buddha Park in swoyambhu. Gurung's wife Anita Gurung was involved in the planning of the shooting. According to police Shrestha had been hiding in different locations in Nepal and Thailand after the shooting. He was arrested from Saraswoti Marg in Gairidhara on June 5. He has been presented before Kathmandu District Court on June 8.
