Police have arrested a man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl on June 13, Saturday, 2015. The arrested has been identified as Harka Bahadur Magar, 29yrs, from Itahari Municipality-2, Sunsari. The teen victim had fallen unconscious due to the rape and had gained consciousness only the following day. Locals had then decided to hand over the victim to the accused rapist, but upon knowing that he was a married man the victim's side lodged a complaint against him in the district police office at Diktel on June 29. Police arrested him from Temma VDC on Tuesday, June 30. Sub-inspector Yadav Gautam informed that the accused is being held in custody for further investigation and police are preparing to charge him under rape act.
