Tension ran high at the hall of Nangghali Forest Users Group in Sunsari-1 during a program organized to collect feedback on the draft of the statute on Monday. The tension flared after cadres of Sanghiya Limbuwan Party chanted slogans while lawmaker Krishna Kumar Rai was airing his view. Police stepped in to maintain order after cadres resorted to vandalism. Following a clash between police and protesters, people ran to safety. The program resumed after police forced agitators out of the venue. However, there was only minimal participation of people.
